Bald Family Hawaiian Vacay Part II

Just a little recap of my family's time here in Kaua'i.  I have so many pictures it was hard to narrow it down!

Here's where the majority of them stayed - two doors down from us!  They're on the little pink balcony in this picture.

While they were here, we......

...spent time relaxing at Kalapaki Beach and playing/hot tubbing at the Marriott pool.  Here's Everett going down the slide with Aunt Val;

....did some hiking on the West shore where we saw Waimea Canyon.  But by the time we got to the very top where there's an amazing view of the Na Pali Coast, it was super foggy and rainy :(  I was bummed because it's my favorite view to show visitors on all the island.

However, thanks to Jon's emergency stash of ponchos, we got to explore a little anyways :)

Even got a glimpse of the view for a couple minutes, rainbow included!

We also.....

....went stand-up paddle boarding on the bay.  Here's Mom & Dad giving it a whirl;

.....walked to a dinner at Duke's together,

.....had some more beach time at Po'ipu Beach,

.....wore out Grandpa at the playground,

.....had some sun-time with the ladies,

....got to do a lot of playing with family we don't get to see often enough,

.....posed for some fun pics,

.....and prepared for a pre-Christmas Eve Christmas Eve (sitting on Santa's lap was out of the question but high-fiving him was a must).

Since we were all together and they couldn't stay for actual Christmas, we celebrated a week early.  Here is the first gift under the tree on our faux Christmas Eve.

As Aunt Charlotte put it, we like to call this one "Three Generations of Pure Joy" :)

We had so much fun and felt so blessed that our whole family made it all the way out to Hawaii to join us for the holidays.
