Life Updates

So much has been going on in the Sheeder household that I have fallen behind on my blogging lately.  I have lots of updates.

First and foremost, we found out we're staying in Kauai another two months and we found a place to live!  It was really getting down to the wire but once again, God came through and provided a cozy little place not far from where we're currently living.  The best part is that although we had to sign the minimum six month lease, our realtor was willing to add a "relocation clause" which states if we have to leave earlier due to Jon's job, there is no penalty!  We had never even heard of that before so it was definitely a clear answer that it was where we're supposed to be.  We move in Monday.  I will post pics soon!

In the meantime, we have been packing and trying to soak in our last few days at the beach house (and it's amenities ;).

It really has been a dream come true living on the ocean for the past five months.  We have enjoyed every minute of it and are so thankful for our time here.  We will miss this spot.  But as they say, all good things must come to an end.  Plus, the eventual move back to our view of the parking lot at our San Diego condo will seem a lot less harsh of an adjustment if we don't come straight from the ocean view ;)

Things with Jon's job are still up in the air.  His current contract was extended until the end of March but we have no idea what will happen after that.  Because of my pregnancy, I can only fly up until mid-April so we will have only two weeks come the end of March to make a decision about where we're going to be when the baby is born.  That pretty much leaves us with the same two options that we have become accustomed to the past few months: 1) Freak out (very tempting) or 2) Decide to trust God.

On that note, I saw this quote on Pinterest and thought it perfectly matched our situation.

Something tells me it is planned like that by Someone who wants to teach me to depend on Him.

Well.... it's working ;)
