We had a crazy rainstorm Saturday morning. The first one that lasted all day with lots of thunder and lightning. It was extra loud and rumbly because it echoed throughout the bay we live on. A little unnerving being up on top of a cliff right by a body of water, but it also reminded us of home (in Minnesota) so we were thankful for the storm. It has been raining quite a bit lately.... this was the past week's forecast. Always consistent in Kaua'i ;)
So, we've been hanging out indoors a lot the past few days. We have to get creative sometimes to keep Everett entertained. But he is a sweet little guy so he has fun helping with the chores too. Here he is helping me unload the dishwasher.
We had some craft time but Momma must have gotten too into her art work because E somehow had time to get into the markers before she noticed.... and the best part was that he also stuck the uncapped marker into his ear! It was all black up in there!!
E checking his email in his spare time
And this week Jon had a chance to try making Musubi, a Hawaiian food he loves. It's spam fried in eel sauce wrapped in rice and seaweed. They have it at all of the local food shops. His project was a success - I don't eat spam (one too many gross youth group challenges) but I admit I actually considered it because it smelled really good!
Hope you are enjoying the fall.... or I should say almost winter weather wherever you are. We love and miss you!

Oh Spam! The Hawaiians love that stuff don't they!
