Random Pics

Everett is that age where he is always getting into things trying to find ways to entertain himself.  While we were still at the hotel, he raided all the kitchen cabinets and this tea kettle was constantly being dragged out.  He loved that thing!

Here at our new place, he wasted no time making himself at home emptying new drawers to entertain himself.

He found some stools that he loves pushing (and carrying!) around.  And he sticks his little tongue out of the corner of his mouth every time!  It's the cutest thing ever.

He is such an independent little guy.  This morning he decided he didn't want to be fed his banana anymore.  He grabbed it out of my hand and went to work feeding himself.

Groceries are really expensive here so we have found ourselves spending a lot of time at Costco.  After shopping, we usually grab a cheap bite to eat at the food court.  E loves sharing Dad's polish dogs.

And of course, watching the roosters.  They're like pigeons here, swooping up all the crumbs off the ground.

One of our last days at the hotel, I saw this strange phenomenon that I thought was pretty cool.  I don't know if you can see it in this picture, but I was looking out into the ocean and saw this weird gray rim just above where the water meets the horizon.  The gray kept getting closer and bigger for about 10 minutes and then all of a sudden there was a down pour.  It rained hard for another 10 minutes and then it cleared up and the gray was gone too.  I actually saw the rain coming!  So weird.

We are learning a lot of unique things about the island and getting accustomed to life here.  Now that we are pretty settled we are hoping to go on more adventures when Jon's not working (which gives us very limited time....).  Stay tuned.... ;)

Happy Weekend!
