A New Year

Happy New Year!

We are enjoying our first "cold" weather in a couple of years because last winter we were in Hawaii.  Although, we haven't actually been able to spend much time outdoors because we've all been sick since Christmas.  But I'll admit it's been nice to be forced to slow down, stay home and hang out low-key together as a family.  If you read my previous post, you'll know that it is probably just what I needed.  Plus, once we get over all these colds and flus, we are going to have super robust immune systems to start the new year strong (just a few days late)!

Here are some pictures from our two weeks indoors.  We had a quiet Christmas with just the four of us.

E likes Dad's new shirt

E-Man's new Cootie game.  He loved it.  And whooped us!

Sick but still happy Hazel

We did manage a couple of outings when the colds let up for a day or two.  Here we are at Christmas Card Lane.  It's an entire neighborhood that decks out their houses with lights, decorations, music, food, and all kinds of other crazy stuff.  Here is one house that had a full band playing Christmas carols.

It was probably in the mid-40's so we bundled the kids up and they had a good time.  E loved the trains going around on elaborate tracks in several of the yards.  H loved.... well, everything.

E also got a Big Wheel for Christmas so we took it out to Balboa Park for a spin.  He figured it out quick!

On our anniversary, (8 years on the 27th!) we took the kids to La Jolla Shores.  Everett and Jon ran around and I got a lot of really cute shots.

Then the little man did some serious rock throwing, his favorite new hobby.

Perfect anniversary outing :)  I love this man.

Happy 2013, family and friends!
